The one hundred students from Mansfield State High School who attended the Youth Summit on Monday 31 May 2010 were very appreciative of the experience. The students reported delightedly that: • they went home and shared their experiences with their parents • they gained soooooo many good ideas and so much motivation from the Summit • they would do some things differently now • they were thrilled to receive the books. The only aspect that they felt they would have loved more detail about was how to become a millionaire…the nitty gritty and some practical ideas! Maybe another session could be conducted to cover this. It would be a little like a mass mentoring programme. Attached are some of the ideas presented. These will be offered to students and staff who would like to make a mini-book to leave around to inspire themselves (and maybe others). It is small enough to sit on a bathroom shelf or in the car or in a pocket to peruse on the way to school. If you have any books spare, we would love to have ten copies of each of the three titles (11 of the Google one) to place in the library: • What I didn’t learn at school but wish I had by Jamie McIntyre • Think and Grow Rich! by Jamie McIntyre • What I didn’t learn from Google but wish I had by Jamie McIntyre Is that a possibility? We will also advise parents of their existence. Please pass on our gratitude to all of the presenters. All of them were enjoyed immensely. Special thanks go to Jamie for his generosity in instigating such a wonderful programme for young people. Hi Jamie have you thought of writing a book aimed at teens similar to what Robert Kiyosaki did? or how about selling a teen homestudy with similar speakers on dvd that you had on stage at the youth summit. Perry Cross & Eric Bailey really impressed my 15 year old daughter.
watching the before and after looks on my girls faces when they were told they had to break a board went from fear to amazed and excited it was fantastic! :) but loved the whole day!
Fun, interactive day full of insights, mindsets that lead to success; my teen got a lot from the day… And so did us parents. Jamie an awesome day, you rock.
